This Is About Star

Hello! My name is Star! I’m a fun-loving, dog-loving, people-loving, pit bull-looking dog.

In May 2009 I received my Canine Good Citizen title. In June I graduated from Delta Therapy Dog training classes. Currently I am in agility classes!

I was born in 2006 or 2007, or so I’m told. Somehow I ended up at the pound in December 2008. It just so happened that the Lady and Man saw me there right after Christmas. After I showed them how good I was on a leash and how much I loved playing with other dogs, they decided to take me to their house.

At first I was very scared of things like tile floors, sticks, and toys. Also, I wasn’t a big fan of treats, so the Lady had a hard time getting me interested in training.

But one thing I really loved was dogs!! And guess what? There was a dog at this new house. His name was Dozer and now he is my best friend ever and I love him sooooo much.

Dozer showed me how much fun it was to play with toys and to earn treats by doing tricks. So now I like to play with toys and I also like to get treats. Also he helped me get over my fear of tile floors and sticks.

I'm having fun!!

The Lady takes me to a lot of places to meet new people, see new things, and best of all, to meet new dogs. We go to classes where I earn many delicious treats and do interesting things.

I guess I still have a lot to learn and do and see, but one thing is for sure: I’m having tons of fun!!
